Christopher Evans, the painter.
Working in a variety of mediums, Chris' passion is painting. His work focuses on photo realism while staying true to the emotion and vibes of each piece.
Christopher's purpose in his work is to trigger emotion in the viewer, whether good or bad. His inspiration is often drawn from the subject of his paintings. The energy he surrounds himself with, whether it be people or music or story-telling, often determines the color and style in which he paints. Chris is most inspired by creation and natural things that happen everyday.
Christopher was born and raised in Wake County, NC and attended school in Fuquay-Varina. Although art always played a role in his life, Christopher did not take his first art class until the 11th grade. Christopher later studied art at Campbell University.
His art has been published in VIBE magazine and the News & Observer. His work also hangs in many local businesses throughout Wake County, including the WRAL News Station.
" People breathe, cry, bleed, move, and most of all commit to a lifetime with the art I can deliver to them.
There's something about people wanting my art on them permanently that feels like the greatest honor. "
Christopher Evans, the tattoo artist.
Christopher started tattooing in 2007. He never thought he wanted to be a tattoo artist, however after experimenting with the medium, he fell in love with tattooing! Tattooing allowed him to focus on art and earn money at the same time.
There's nothing like seeing a clients' reaction to the final result. Exceeding clients' expectations is a sense of satisfaction that cannot be beat. Chris is always pushing himself to be better at his craft. He loves to learn new techniques and tricks to the art by watching videos and reading from different artists.
His favorite style of tattooing is photo realism, although he admires and respects every style of tattooing. Every tattoo has its own unique story, sometimes the story is simple, sometimes its heartfelt and complex.
